Reviewing methods

Epi Result can assist in improving the methodological quality of research proposals, manuscripts for peer reviewed journals, Master and PhD dissertations, book chapters and research reports by evaluating the soundness of the quantitative research methods.

Recent projects

• Reviewing the methods for estimating indicators for health care use for HIV/AIDS. Continued consulting on the academic integrity of outputs of the COMPASS project and other projects on HIV/AIDS service provision.

• Providing editorial support to a book that is part of an INDEPTH initiative to better understand Migration and Urbanization in African and Asian settings. This was done by e.g. reviewing all the chapters for methodological quality.

• Member of the advisory committee that reviews the research design of a follow-up study on the prevalence of health problems and the utilisation of health care among refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan, Iran and Somalia living in the Netherlands.
