SACEMA Stellenbosch University
The South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA) focuses on research in quantitative modelling of the spatial and temporal patterns of disease. The immediate aim of the research is to understand and predict the development of various diseases (e.g. HIV, TB, malaria), and thereby to provide advice on how best to combat them. As a lot of the work of SACEMA is of a highly technical and mathematical nature, the quarterly magazine of the centre is presenting this work in a way that it is accessible to the interested health professional and policy-maker.www0.sun.ac.za/sacema

"Annette Gerritsen has supported the South African Centre for Epidemiological Modelling and Analysis (SACEMA) with her excellent editorial services, through the production of a quarterly epidemiological update. She provides topical outlines for each update, negotiates and skilfully edits contributions from invited writers, and produces the final web based product. "
