INDEPTH AGM

The International Network for the Demographic Evaluation of Populations and Their Health in Developing Countries (INDEPTH) is a global network of members who conduct longitudinal health and demographic evaluation of populations in low- and middle-income countries.The 10th annual AGM was held from September 27-30, 2010 in Accra (Ghana). I just went there for 2 days with my main task being to report on the meetings around Migration, health and climate change. The reason being that UNESCO Ghana is intending to fund INDEPTH to do some exploratory work in this field. In addition it was a good opportunity to meet up with the people from the Agincourt Health and Demographic Surveillance site (Wits University) for whom I am doing several projects.

Presentations on SAHARA and PHASA conferences

The results of the 2011 report on HIV/AIDS services provision in the City of Tshwane were presented in an oral presentation at the 6th SAHARA conference held from 28 November – 2 December 2011 in Port Elizabeth, as well as in a Poster at the 7th PHASA conference held from 28 – 30 November 2011in Sandton.
