When reading e.g. treatment guidelines I had come across the GRADE approach which is used to evaluate the quality of the evidence. I never found the time to deepen my understanding about this, so the opportunity to get a scolarship to attend a 1-day course on GRADE guideline development was very welcome. On the 23rd of February 2016 I attended this course, organised by the South African Guidelines Excellen Project, in Cape Town. Besides understanding the proces better, I also got some practical experience in how to use it. A report on the course can be found here.
For the WHO I went to Croatia to attend a meeting on the development of HIV treatment cascades.
