Desk-based research was used and information was collected on prevalence and incidence of diseases (countrywide, Province, region), aetiology and transmission, disease presentation and diagnosis, treatment, prevention and interaction with other diseases.

As part of a Health Impact Assessment I developed a health baseline study for a region in Angola which in the future might be exposed to certain impacts as a result of an off-shore oil field development. I travelled to Luanda from 16-20 May 2011 to meet with the consultancy firm ARC that hired me to do the task.
